FACE SERUM BY OWLPURE
What is serum?
Serum is a skincare product you can apply to your skin after cleansing but before moisturizing with the intent of delivering powerful ingredients directly into the skin. Serum is particularly suited to this task because it is made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients.
How often should I use my serum?
Well, this all depends on the serum. Read the label, but once a day will probably cover your bases.
Look for serums formulated for oily skin and to treat pimples and acne. The active ingredients you're looking for are zinc, licorice, salicylic acid, Tea tree oil, Centella Asiatica, allantoin and/or niacinamide (B3).
If your skin is dehydrated look for a serum with hyaluronic acid. If your skin is dry look for serums that contain ceramides, plant oils such as jojoba or argan oil, and essential fatty acids especially Omega 3.
Aging skin begins to thin, sag and wrinkles as it loses collagen. Look for collagen boosting ingredients such as vitamin C and peptides. Protect existing collagen with anti-glycation ingredients and MMP inhibitors.
